Help for when a loved one dies


Grief is the group of feelings you get

when you lose someone you love.


While it may be uncomfortable or sad, grief is important.

It’s okay to feel this way.


It’s okay ... in fact it’s good to cry.

You won’t stay sad forever.

You may feel guilty – don’t blame yourself.

It’s normal to get angry -

Try to manage your anger and don’t stay angry.

It’s good to talk about your grief.

Find someone caring who will listen (Talk about your feelings)

Don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Find ways to have special memories for the person.

In time you will be happy again and you will have a special place in your heart for your loved one.

Give it time to heal.
