 BUZ Staff PD - Professional Development and Training
BUZ Conducts a number of PD modules for school staff.
These modules usually run for 2 hours
Module 1: How to Bully-proof Your School and Make a Build Up Zone
Includes practical sessions on the BUZ Gimme 5 method of Bully-proofing and the 5 principles to make your school a build up zone. (Confidence)
Module 2: Helping Kids With Relationships Skills
Includes the Friendship Factory metaphor, the BUZ S.N.A.C.K. Steps to making and keeping friends, Throwing a Spanner in the Works and the BUZ Hopscotch Method of Conflict Resolution. (Connectedness and Conflict resolution)
Module 3: Emotional Intelligence skills - a practical approach to helping kids understand and manage their feelings. Includes the Good Bad Mad Sad and the Coke Bottle analogies to feelings and anger management and the 3 steps to handling feelings. (Control of Feelings)
Module 4: Growing confidence, positive values and virtues that lead to compassion, cooperation and resilience.
