BUZ Life Skills Programs for Schools
School Chaplain's and teachers throughout WA are now accessing the training to become BUZ School Program Facilitators. This is an initiative between YouthCARE and Nurture Works.
If you are interested in BUZprograms being conducted in your school please approach you school chaplain.
(Nurture Works Staff based in Busselton are still available to run these programs in schools where there is no YouthCARE chaplain.) Please contact us if you are interested.
 BUZ Today Class Program - Sub junior primary - PP & Year 1
Building Blocks for Social Skills
The focus of the BUZ Today program is to introduce younger children to some basics in social skills, understanding and handling feelings, making and keeping friends, solving fights and handling when someone isn't being friendly.
Duration: 8 hour program usually over 8 weeks.
Each student receives worksheets in a novel BUZ Today Pizza Box.
 BUZ Friends Class Program - Junior Primary Years 2 and 3
Growing positive friendship and emotional resilience skills
The focus of the BUZ Friends program is to develop social and emotional skills - enabling children to build and maintain successful relationships and handle the emotional ups and downs, including conflict and when they get picked on.
Duration: 8 hour program usually over 8 weeks.
Each student receives an A5 BUZ Friends program booklet and cool stickers.
 BUZ Together Class Program - Middle Primary Years 4 and 5
Consolidating relationship skills, cooperation skills and resilience skills
The focus of the BUZ Together program is to develop better social relationships and cooperation in the classroom and playground; includings teamwork, emotional resilience, conflict resolution and bully-proofing.
Duration: 8 hour program usually over 8 weeks.
Each student receives an A4 BUZ Together program manual.
 BUZ Power Class Program - Upper Primary - Years 6 and 7
Personal and Group Power
The focus of the BUZ Power program is to develop within each individual a sense of personal power as well as expanding their skills within the context of a group, growing in their ability to cooperate effectively. This program 'powerfully' helps equip pre-adolescents with important life skills.
Duration: 10 hour program usually over 9 weeks (2 hour last session)
Each student receives a BUZ Power Tool Box with 'Tools/symbols’ and a Manual to take with them to help recharge their personal power!!
